Wait staff usually make or break a restaurant, no matter how good the food may taste. The staff at Mother’s Cantina are exceptional. We arrived at 5 (hey! We skipped lunch) and were immediately seated. I’m pretty sure I had an ice cold Modelo Especial in my hands within 5 minutes! Yea baby!

Best Mexican food in Ocean City! Fresh ingredients and authentic preparation along with generous portions means you should come hungry! The crab quesadilla will rock your world!

Sometimes, more is less. The enchilada's excessive cheese overshadowed other flavors, the rice was heavy on cumin, and the black beans tasted nearly burnt. However, the atmosphere is excellent, and the kitchen staff is very friendly. Table service could improve. Given the overall ambiance and the kitchen team's dedication, it's likely this is a top-notch restaurant that was just having an off night.
