Couse is laid out very nice, however it was not in good shape and needs quite a bit of effort to bring back up to speed. There were weeds on the greens, many places the rough was not grass - weeds that made it tough to locate your ball if just off the fairway. Like I say, it is a nicely laid out course, but due to condition not a very good experience.

Played yesterday, 10/11/25. Gave it a 3 only because it was playable enough to not ruin a round, but definitely not worth the money at this point. We pretty much expect good conditions when playing courses in resort areas. Even if the course isn’t the best layout or not up there with your favorites, you can still enjoy the round if the course is in good shape. Ocean Pines is not in good shape. Tee boxes were bad. Sparse and not level. Fairways, ehh, can always roll it a few inches to get a lie. Not a big deal. Traps weren’t bad, but a couple were a little thin on sand. The greens, not good. Weeds in every green. Not sure if it’s crabgrass. Didn’t look exactly like crabgrass but the fringes around every green had it and it definitely crept into every green. Only a few greens rolled close to smooth and that’s not really saying much. Disappointing for sure, especially after playing Bear Trap Dunes the day before where the greens were great. Ocean Pines isn’t a must, but it’s also not a pass. It’s a fun course to play but I wouldn’t recommend playing there until next Spring.

Great course, great golf staff. Challenging course.

They told us we could order food at the turn before we started a 3:30 round. Called teeing off on 9 to order some dogs. No answer. Stopped in and apparently they close at 6;00, and I guess at 5:45 when we called was close enough. Disappointed and hungry end to the round, pack a dinner if you have an afternoon round.
